ram upgrade?

easy all can anyone recommend any cheap ram that would work with the 1000?

Any brand will do. The key is the "CL3" (clock latency rating). It must be CL3 or it's not going to work. Some sticks are CL3 and have no label. Avoid ones with no CL3 label, unless you're at like a mom and pop PC shop and a bucket of RAM for you to try is in front of you and your machine.

Easiest is to just buy online and make sure the CL3 stamp is on the spec sticker. $5-$15USD tops.

And yes that is the only size you can use although the mpc1000 only uses half of it (128mb).
