Buying a customized MPC 1000 - help

Hi Y'all,

Ive just sold my Ableton Push and am joining the MPC world.

I have decided to go for the MPC 1000 and have two im currently looking at.

1) MPC 1000 - no upgrades included at all

2) MPC 1000 - has Fat Pads, JJOS1, 128Mb Ram, Wood sidepanels, Custom black wheel, blue LED's on sliders.


My main question is - will all the customization affect the MPC experience?

I know JJOS1 is a must have, but all the othersuff - fat pads, wood sidepanels etc.

It looks cool as, to be honest, but wanted to double check before making the purchase.

If the customised MPC isn't that much more expensive then I would go for that one. Because you'll going to need the ram upgrade and the JJOS.

Fat pads depends on users preference. At least you know the MPC has the pad upgrade installed since only the pad upgrade can be modified with the fat pads. The seller will probably still have the normal pads. If not it might be also a reason to ask for a slightly lower price.

yeah, we can't help you without knowing what the prices are.

I mean, if it were the same price, the upgraded one no question.
All of those upgrades would be improvements. (well, the black jog wheel and wooden side panels, that's subjective, but I bet most would consider them more aesthetically pleasing. the blue LEDs, though, are unarguably cooler. )
