Hello!
Got a quick question for you all hopefully someone can help. I just coped the mpc 1000 off craigslist and I have had fun chopping and playing samples but I really want to start making a finalized song.
I am working on recording but I can't seem to get the fine tuning for the BPM down. Before the mpc I was using the maschine which although irritating because it required software it was pretty easy to record chopped loops. What I want to do is get an approximate BPM so I can record in my series of chops and then fine tune the BPM so that it loops perfectly and eliminates the space at the end of the sequence, assuming the BPM is to slow. But when I take the BPM down it adjust the placement of the chops accordingly so that the chops trigger more quickly and the space at the end of the loop/sequence remains!
How can I change the BPM of the overall sequence without messing up the placement of the triggering chops? Is this even possible or do I have to find the right BPM and record the looped chops perfectly?
Hopefully this makes sense, any and all help would be much appreciated.
