Hey I'm a big fan of the forum, lotta good info and sounds on here.
Just replaced my 1k's internal LCD with the 128XL screen ( 240 x 128 ). While I was in there, was thinking how cool it would be to have JJOS on a VGA screen. (Or better yet, on my mini-projector for giving demonstrations / live tutorial sessions.)
I'm experimenting in electronic circuitry and not very knowledgeable at this point when it comes to technicals...
Does anyone know of a small piece of hardware capable of converting the signal from the ribbon cable into a VGA signal, or similar? I'm looking for something small enough to carry with the MPC.
In theory, you could split the ribbon cable from the board. One end for the LCD & the other end for the adapter. I'm guessing you'd need a device capable of up-sampling or increasing the resolution, maybe skewing the picture... (guessing!)
