How to replace output jacks?

Im having a loose connection on my MPC1000, but output channels are having crackle etc (sometimes i have to move the plug a little bit in the jack to regain decent sound)

i was wondering, if i could just solder new jacks on the board.. should'nt be too difficult i guess.

does anybody know which replacement part i could use?

Can't see your images.

It might be a dry solder joint, and might just need the solder connections to the PCB to be reflowed (melted).

If you do have to replace them, you desolder them, and solder in new ones.

It is easy to overheat the PCB and damage it, if you don't know what you are doing.

sorry for the bad pictures, did them last night with my celphone...while the pcb was still kind of in the mpc..
(and thanks for loading up! i obviously messed that up somehow..)



the second picture actually just shows 3 pcb-connections which i'm having a hard time to get of....
anybody has a good idea, just pull harder??



i think the solder-joints are allright, but ill check them tonight..
but i guess i'd rather put in new ones straight away..

I would try just reflowing (melting) the solder on the jack to PCB connections first.

do they have some locking-mechanism or can i just pull it off?

I think they just pull off, they probably do take a bit of force to make the little clip on each side release, maybe eaiser to pull on one side then the other, slightly, rather than trying to pull straight out.

Grip the plug
Just make sure you don't pull on the wires or you will be in trouble

ok, melted the solder joints, cleaned the plugs...
problem is definitly a little better, though not completely gone...

i'll try some electrical connection spray in the jacks real carefull to maybe get rid of the thing completely.
