I'm not technically skilled at all but I recently did the pad upgrade on my 1000, along with that I bought some replacement buttons and knobs as well as a new black plate to replace the old rusty silver one.
I began to remove it, but after getting just about all of it off I realized what should have been obvious.
It is attached to the power source, so it seems a bit more complicated than I first had thought.
Can anybody out there who has removed this plate give me some tips on doing this properly.
