When i change sequences I can't get the first note of a track to fire on 001.01.00. I am sequencing an Access Virus b which I have been using for years and I just got the 1k. The note triggers fine when I hit PLAY START but when I switch the sequences up it comes in on the following note instead of playing the note on the one. I am pretty sure it is not a problem with the Virus. I would expect better lock solid timing out of a hardware sequencer. That is one of the reasons i went Akai.

I could understand if this happened every once and a while but I have tried it many times, switching from different sequences and the proble is consistent.

Actually it doesn't do it when swithing from a less involved sequence so the only logical thing i can think of is that the sequence i am switching from that is causing the problem has some residual note data that is causing the monophonic patch to not fire.

Comments/ Questions

All in all i love this thing. So much i am taking back within 30 days to get a 4000.

Do you have a program change inside the Sequence? If so, this is a common problem with most modern digital synths: They ignore midi note data to process PC's and Sysex. There is nothing that sequencers can do about this since this is a programming decision made by synth manufacturers.
