Clicking and popping in sample playback

Hey, new to the forum but not new to the MPC1000....
I've been having this issue when playing back samples where I get a random click, which most of the time sounds almost like the click track, when playing back a sample.
I thought I had fixed the problem by switching to a different track to load and play the sample but no, random popping/clicking sound is still there.
The click has that kind of reverb-y poppy/clicky sound of the click track but I have turned the click off completely, have switched tracks, have reformatted my HD, have reinstalled JJOS 13.6, have changed outputs, resent the sample.... Don't know what else to do.
I have maxed out RAM which I have checked by starting the MPC while pressing PLAY and everything seems fine there.
Any suggestions? Anyone have the same issue?
I have looked everywhere but this is not your typical noisy output kind of problem and have yet to find a reliable solution.
Any insight would be very appreciated.

This is what has seemed to work as of this morning:

-Loaded sample up to pad 4 instead of my usual pad 1.
Could it be an issue with that specific pad?

-Turned Timing Correct completely off.
I run pretty long ambient stereo samples(usually 2-3mins) so maybe the timing correct is messing with my sample in some way?

I didn't have a chance to really run the sample for a bit but everything seemed to be ok. Will try and finally record this piece tomorrow and see if what I suggested above has solved the issue for good.

Didn't work.
Almost sounds like something is clipping.
"Pop" happens in either the right or left channel.
Could it be a polyphony issue?
This is killing me right now.

cracked solder on the analog output jacks?

you arent using the spdif output are you?

make sure your whole signal path is free from defects... cable, soundcard/mixer input, make sure your gain is set properly on mixer/soundcard...

beyond that id say unseat and reseat all cables inside the unit.

Alright, so I finally solved the problem....

It was the USB.

I had the usb connected to my computer via a usb hub while recording and I guess there was some kind of interaction happening between the computer and the mpc or the usb hub and the mpc that was causing the random noise.

As long as I don't keep the usb connected to anything while playing back samples everything is totally fine.
