ableton mpc jumping records

hi,

i synced my mpc as master to the daw. every is synced proper and iam in "track mute mode" (to switch things on and off) if i press record/ play on the mpc and dial other sequences the records starts at the beginning and overdub the first record.

my question is how can i do a record without the jump to the start position?

appendix:

i changed from mtc to midi clock and mmc: off in the mpc.

it works at the moment was this the reason??

i cant record the tempo changes...

any one??
