Replacement Buttons NOT Tact Switches?

I have some broken plastic buttons, the underlying tact swithces are not the problem.
I've done a search but I cant seem to find if there's any cheap alternative push buttons for the 1000.I know MPCStuff & VST do them but there 4 dollars each and then there's postage to the UK on top. Anyone have any other sources for these?

its worth the price... they wont break again. made of different plastic.

I fixed one of broken button (large button) piece with plastic glue gun. It's still fine a few years later. It's worth trying!

Cool, thanks for the help. I did try glue one a while back but it went again. Thats interesting that their different plastic.

I did try various glues, but in order to get the job done with glue, you need enough surface area, so it doesn't work well.

Glue stick, in the other hand, it covers broken parts and it can become part of the structure, and glue stick is flexible, so it can endure a lot of button hitting.

Many members thought that crazy glue would be the best choice, but it did not work well at all (yes I tried.)
You might think that it will melt the button, but glue stick melts in lower temperature than the plastic used for the button, it did not melt the button.

Oh, that's very neat, I didn't know that MPC-1000 buttons are different from MPC-2000 buttons. The fix cannot be applied to MPC2000 buttons though.

OK Ive glued a couple of the bigger buttons and used the double sided tape trick for the smaller buttons (after trying glue first the tape seems better for the little buttons). So far so good. I'm still short of the plastic bit for my next seq button so I can't fix that but don't use it much anyway. Thanks for the advice.

btw you can save some by buying button sets from mpc-stuff

Yeah, I saw they had a grey & black button set, but couldnt find a set of original colour buttons.
