Hi folks,
i am having a terrible time saving my work with this machine i find it very confusing and i just dont understand it.Can u please explain to me how you save your work every day? i want to be able to have many sequences and songs with the uploaded samples so that when i have a gig i can just upload one folder and everything should be ready to go.
can u tell me clearly step by step?
i apreciate it!

I suggest one of two methods.
1. Autoload: The easiest, which is clearly described on page 83, in the manual.
2. Saving projects:
Mode>save. Save to: "Memory card". Type: "Save entire memory". Select To: "Root". Push "Window"-button. Select "New", and make folder, that u save project into.
NB: Dont save two projects in same folder since each folder can only contain one file of "All seq. and songs" which is generated when u save a project. This is NOT explained in the manual!

Thanx Moogens, but does that mean that i have to load every time a folder to play different projects at a gig?or do i have to upload all the folders i wnat to use before i start? everytime i load a new folder it overwrites the old one and the other projects are gone! do you always save entire memory?

Put each song in its own folder...use save entire sequence and memory. That should save you a lot of problems. I have been using the mpc1000 for almost a year and very few problems doing it this way. And would probably be better for a gig cause you can scroll throught the folders and load up each song.

Cheers

If u use the project-solution: It depends... if u can have all the samples (and programs/sequences) that u use for the gig in the internal memory - then u dont have to load more than once. Maybe u have two sets that u can save/load as two different projects. It depends the size of what u have in the projects.
