"REC" button indicator light always faintly "on"

MPC1000/JJOS2XL

When the MPC is on, the red indicator light above the "REC" button is very faintly lit all the time. Then, when I record it goes full "normal" intensity. When I stop recording it gets back to very faint (but not off).

Also when I turn on the MPC, during the booting up process this "REC" light is totally off, it is only right after the booting up is complete that it faintly lit.

Any idea why this light is always on (even though again, it is very weak, but still noticeable) ??
Is this a sign of an upcoming serious problem, or should I just ignore this ? (otherwise and as far I can tell, the MPC itself operates correctly).

BTW, the "OVERDUB" or "PLAY" indicator lights do not do this .....

Didn't notice but yeah my do that exactly how you described. Nothing to worry about.

Just a side effect of the multiplexing that it's doing for all the LEDs and buttons.

Same reason that some button combos (I forget which ones) faintly light up some of the bank lights and such.
