I just upgraded my MPC with the 1000 xlcd screen and some fatter pads with the cork upgrade.

I am having a few issues though.

Once I screw everything together the pad sensors seem to go haywire. Random pads are triggering everywhere without pressing any of the pads. As soon as I unscrew the metal faceplate all pad sensors and pads work fine. (I already have the pad upgrade on my mpc)

Has anyone else had this issue after upgrading to the thicker pads? I dont think the senors are going bad. I dont have to hit on them hard to get them to respond.

Maybe I could try cleaning the pad sensors to rehabilitate them?

I dont mind buying new pad sensors since Ive had this mpc for 4 or 5 years. I just wanted to see if I could determine that was the problem before maybe buying something I didn't need.

Thanks in advance for any tips.

Built into the pads. I read the mpcstuff website and thought the corks would help with sensitivity. Unfortunately I didn't realize that you couldn't put them onto the pads since they are already built in. I thought having some more sensitive pads would help me fine tune my finger drumming a little bit. The fat pads are enough of an upgrade already though with the built in corks.

Thx
