So I've been hitting my head against the wall for the past couple weeks trying to figure out a solution to the problem of having 20 zip disks of samples that I would LiKE to be using right now on my new MPC 1000, but which are all .snd format and thus must be converted to .wav. My question is IS THERE A PIECE OF SOFTWARE THAT CAN CONVERT SND TO WAV--even better, is there a way to do a batch conversion and convert all my sounds in a single step? I have Mac OS X and have tried MPCPgmMaker, MPC Pad 187, and a bunch of other stuff I've found online, but nothing will convert snd to wav (MPCPgmMaker is supposed to, but it doesn't recognize my samples for some strange reason). I figure theres got to be a lot of people in the same boat as myself, so theres gotta be something to make the switch. Anybody got any ideas?
I've used a program called Awave to convert thousands of snd files to Wave files. It will convert any audio file to almost any format.
