Overheat?

I am a new 1K user and have noticed that my mpc is hot after a couple of hours of use. Is this normal, or do I need to do something to fix it?

Hey man WELCOME!! The 1000 does tend to heat up after a couple hours especially if you have it propped up on my lap or a pillow if Im sitting on the couch, so I purchased a Quik Lok 400 stand that keeps it cool. Another option is to get a laptop fan or rolodex laptop stand for about <$30 to allow it to breathe. Anyway that is a valid concern and I hope this helps. Peace...
