I've made a few posts in the thread for CF and RAM recommendations, but I don't think that thread is read regularly.

I've got a 32 GB CF card in my 1000 (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NUB2Q9E?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00) that somewhat works. I'm running JJOS2XL and have the 128MB upgrade, and the MPC can see the card, and play samples from it, but saving or loading can be very hit or miss, and usually freezes up the machine, forcing a reboot. I have reformatted the card since installing JJOS2XL, and have also performed a reset by holding the erase button while powering up, but the results are the same. I've also got an 8GB card that is about half the speed of the Sandisk one that works just fine.

Does the MPC scan the entire contents of the card when it performs any saving or loading actions? That is the only thing I can think of that would cause it to hang. If that is not the case, is there anything I might be able to do to get this card to reliably work with the MPC, or can someone recommend a 32 GB card that is currently available that works reliably? I went through the last 10-15 pages of the CF card recommendations thread, but did not see much in the way of recent recommendations for large capacity cards, and a lot of the older ones are unavailable at this point.

Thanks for any assistance you can give.

I had first installed the free JJOS and used it for a few weeks before purchasing JJOS2XL, all of which happened over the course of the last month and a half or so. Are you saying that I should boot the MPC up in the free JJOS, perform a reset under that OS, and then boot back into JJOS2XL and try the 32 GB card?

.....never think in ONE card....

you always deal with two, anyway.....

never had any trouble with os issues...if, that's card or readers issues itself, usually....

so, next step for now....buy two similiar, new cards....not too huge....not too fast and fury....

Did you format the CF card with the MPC OS or did you format it with computer. You should use MPC top format CF Card in case you didn't, you don't say at all, just that you formatted the CF card.

Or its a corrupted CF card maybe
