Depend what you need, you want change tempo of sequence and have samples "stretch to tempo" with:
a) pitch change relative to tempo - than you have to adjust TUNE parameter to all tracks (samples)

or

b)no pitch change - on mpc 1000 you can only do so called patched phase (also all samples have to be patched phrased to follow tempo change.. and it's a lot of work and limitations). It's actually the same as cutting your samples shorter and sequencing them more tightly. I use one note hits only and I can play back my tracks at any tempo with no pitch change, not loosing it's vibe. You can't do that with longer samples, because if you have for instance a sample with JUST two notes.. like bassdrum and snare.. if you change a tempo, you just change tempo of events in a sequence, NOT the distance between bassdrum and snare.

There is no any automatic "force to tempo" thingy, like on PC programs
