Loop and Bars

Maybe im going crazy or something. But since i installed the latest JJOS when i make a track i have to manually set loop length and number of bars per track. For some reason i thought loop was always on automatically when you made a new track. Minor annoyance i suppose, but i swear it wasn't like that before. Is there a way to change this?
