Using MPC1000 as main sequencer for live rig

Sorry for the beginner question, just purchased a used MPC 1000 and I am loving it so far, I have an electribe 2 and a microkorg xl. I want to have the MPC as my main sequencer with the electribe and microkorg slaved, is it possible to have the MPC play pre programmed sequences on the electribe whilst also either playing samples from the mpc either as pre programmed sequences or one shots. Also I plan on playing the microkorg in realtime. Could anyone breakdown the MIDI and audio pathway ? I have everything hooked up according to the manual and am getting sound just fine from all machines, but when I try to record patterns Im getting a weird doubling up of beats and when I play back what I just recorded the sound is crazy low. Sorry for the novel , but any help would be great. Thanks all for your great knowledge?

So at a guess you have the electribe and microkorg's midi outs going into the MPC and the MPC's midi outs into the electribe and microkorg. This should work OK, but if you are recording by triggering sounds from the electribe and/or the microkorg, you'll basically be sending a note on out to the MPC which will end up going back to you again, causing the double-triggering. So basically you either need to set up the MPC not to play through when recording MIDI, or set up the electribe and microkorg so they don't play locally and only play via MIDI (I'm not sure how to do that, or if either actually can).

I'm relatively new to the MPC, so take this with a pinch of salt, but on the JJOS I'm pretty sure you can do this by going to the MIDI settings page and setting Soft Thru to OFF.

As for low audio levels, fix the double triggering first, then see if it starts working properly. If not, post a bit more information about how you have your audio wired and it might be possible to figure it out.
