Samples and programs dissapearing

New here, please guide me if this issue has already been discussed.

During the process of loading and saving samples and programs, the mpc freezes at a % number, and when i restart it, many of my samples and programs are gone.

I suspect my new Lexar Professional 1066x 16GB compact flash card for being the reason for this issue. It should not be necessary to format the flash card, since it's brand new, am i right?

I haven't experienced this problem before. I got my mpc1000 one year ago, used.

Also, i save all my samples in stereo, and i use quite long samples (up to 6MB) but as i still have 15235 MB free space, I assume this is not the problem? any help or advice would be appreciated

The MPC supports CF cards up to 2 GB. Cards with a higher capacity may work, but they are not reliable.
