Organizing your samples.

I was wondering how everyone organizes there samples/programs/seq...

I used to use the 2000, and when the zip drive broke i was forced to record my beats into sonar, and then record all the individual pieces so i could reconstruct it later.

Today, with the 1000 I like to make seperate folders with different sets of samples. If its a drum kit, i will save the Program file in the same folder. That way all i have to do is load the folder. The sequences i have just been putting them in one folder. Heres my question though...

First I load up my "Funk" drum kit, and then i load up a set of samples. I assign the samples to an empty bank. Once i have made a sequence, named it and saved it, whats the best way to save that "Funk" kit that is now different than my default that i need. Should i just rename the program, and save with no sounds along with the sequence and the samples into one folder. Tell me your technics for staying organized, it would really help me...

This is what i do. When i make a drum kit or any other programs i save them in one folder with its name on the folder, Then i always save it, if its worthy, to the computer. Then when i make a sequence i put the name of the kits i used on it or what ever and some times i just save the sequence with the kits folder. Or i just make a sequence folder. This works easy for me.

good looks man... i use the same approach i guess, but the backup on the computer is key. the good thing is though, compact flash is much safer than zip diks. i wanna try saving my drum kits into the flash mem tonight...
