First post on these forums, but a long time lurker. I'm asking about the MPC 1000 before I pick one up.
I watched a youtube video where a guy was playing his guitar through his MPC 1000 (on JJOS 2 according to him) and he was laying down different guitar takes, one after the other. So I have two questions,
1) Does that essentially turn the MPC 1000 into a loop pedal/recorder
2) Are these multiple takes saved in the MPC as (sample01, sample02, etc.)?
What I'm trying to do myself is run the outs of my mixer into the inputs of an MPC 1000 and record a lead on track 1 that is 8 bars long for example and without having to have the MPC pause and convert the recording into a sample and load to a pad, just switch to track 2 and lay down a bassline, etc. I was looking into stereo loop pedals, but if the MPC 1000 can do this, then it would save a bunch of money.
