New to MPC1000 - is my memory corrupt? (pic inside)

Hi all,
I recently picked up a MPC1000, paid for JJOS01 and have been having a blast. Such a great machine.

I have a quick question; when I load up off of the Internal memory card the first ten lines or so look 'corrupted' or blanked out, see picture above. I scroll down and the default samples are still there. Is this normal? I watched a few YouTubes and couldn't see this on other people's systems.

I don't recall such thing as internal mem problems, maybe it crashed while saving... IDK

update to lastest ver 5 OS1

power off, hold erease button and power on

if still same > load 1short sample off disk and try to OVERWRITE internal memory in save screen

internal memory is not "favoured" as storage IMO, why don't you load of cf card?
