I'm using an MPC1000 with JJOS2
I'm desperate for help with this, as i can't control the problem and need to know if anyone else has seen the same thing happen or can help with solving it. I'm desperate as this is my job!
How it is set up:
I use my MPC to send out beats and synth lines down separate channels (outputs) at the same time.
I have a stereo beats track that goes out of assignable outputs 1 & 2, and the synth lines are assigned to assignable output 2.
On stage I have numerous sequences set up that I use the MPC to control. I use the 'next sequence' to use the pads to select each sequence. So it's a fairly simple way of using the MPC in my mind.
The problem:
The MPC sometimes out of nowhere (mid song on stage!!) will suddenly stop sending any audio out of the beats channel (assignable outputs 1&2) and will instead send the beats channel out of the Synth channel (assignable output 4) and the synth audio will just disappear.
Is this a problem that anyone else has encountered?
Am I do something wrong in the way i'm setting up my MPC that could cause this to happen?
Is there anything I can do to stop this?
It is a problem that I have not been able to recreate at home or in rehearsal, which makes it even more infuriating, as it only ever happens on stage (but maybe about 10% of the time). If i turn it off and on it refreshes back to working properly, and if I check on the outputs screen when it has switched, it still shows the audio is assigned to the correct places) This has lead me to think that stage conditions are causing this, possible vibrations, but after this happening a number of times, i'm almost convinced it's something to do with stages that have bad power conditioning. But does this make sense and is it fixable?
Any help with this is very much appreciated as i'm desperate to keep using my MPC, but if I can't rely on it i may have to look for alternatives or think about using a laptop (
