Struggling with cf card

Hi

I have bought a 16gb SanDisk cf card and am trying to download the free jjos (3.16). When I plug the mpc 1000 into my laptop it is recognised but I cannot open it or cannot copy the jjos download to it. Is this something to do with the cf card? Have I bought the incorrect one?

I am a new 1000 user myself, so I might not be 100% on this, but I think the 16gb card is larger than the Akai OS can read. Try a smaller 2 or 4gb card to load the jjos and then switch to the 16gb card once its up and running.

Thanks man. I spoke to the guy who I bought it from on eBay and it turns out I don't need a card as he has installed a hard drive. Bingo!
