i think that depends on whether you are up for having a bit of fun using a cool machine or whether you feel like it should be the holy grail of music gear and utterly faultless.

Nuff said. Can't wait though. Either of you two ever get to London. You should maybe check out CDR night at Plastic People Old St.

whats that all about... do you swap burned cds or sumthin. If so, there should be a sample party, where people show up with samples and records, and trade and stuff...

actually i think it depends if your up for getting a semi functional machine opposed to a fully functional, you can church it upp all you like but that is what the mpc1k is,semi functional

i don't see how it is semi-functional when it does exactly what it says in the manual.

its semi functional because all the functions that the manual says its supose to do, like play back samples, and play back sequences, do not work 100% right, simple as that, theres absolutely nothing you can say to change that cuz its a stone cold fact, deal with it

No its a club night where apsiring producers can bring along tunes burnt on to CD and hear them on one of London's finest sound systems.
Its also a place for established music makers to air ideas and tunes in the making.

is veh good.

oh man... u r getting so boring. mine works fine - if i was to shout as much about how mine works ok as you do about how much yours sucks you'd be getting pretty bored of me. do you still even have one? if you have got rid of it - why are you posting here?.... if you haven't got rid of it then i suggest you do get rid of it and go and get yourself one of these:

Easy Stephen,

I'm in the same boat as you mate, decided on the 1k after lurking round these parts for a good couple o' month.

I've been checking the CDR site after hearing Tony Wach and another chap interviewed on Benji B's Deviation show, sounds like an awesome night. You London cats have it too good

exact same situations happened with the 2000 and 4000 respectively.

You just have to wait until the OS is updated to its full potential. Until then, the 1000 is great as is. I mean, the dropouts occur once ever 2 or 3 days. So it's not like it has an effect on your creative process.
