i dont really look for glitches, or experience many either. performance: 9.8 out of ten. Heres a strange glitch i have right now...

I recorded a sample from vinyl, assigned it to D2 in my kit, and went to trim it. I trimed the 1st section, and on the next piece its acting up. Im fine tuning the st-end and on Pad 14 and 16 they play completely different parts of the sample. every other pad plays the sample, but 14 plays a part further down (outside the selection) and 16 plays the begining of the sample??? i went to main, then back. switched samples in the trim screen. full level on/off. its got to be a sort of freeze up/glitch. nothing i could have done...

Check your trim page with a sample, and try all the pads when playing back. maybe trim the first piece with pad 13? if it can be figured out, it could be an advantage to hear random parts of the sample while working on another?????

those upper pads are supposed to act that way

yeah.. im not quite sure what ur gettin at with that glitch coz it seems to me that you just wrote down exactly what its meant to do. above the pads 14-16 you'll see 'play all, play from, play to, etc'. Theyre referring to the selection you just set.

maybe im missing something but i read ur post 3 times n still couldnt really see what you was gettin at.

Yes you are stupid for trying to find faults in the ultimate divine power that Akai has bestowed upon us... you are unworthy to own such great power. These glitches are meant to challenge and refine your skills. Any fool can make a beat with a machine that functions properly, so quit complaining and keep making beats.

bachypham: you need to chill the f*ck out. I had no idea that those pads did that, and now i see whats labeled on them, so chill the f*ck out. Im not here to complain about the akai, if you could read proper... i make tons of beats, and just recently "upgraded" from the 2000 to the 1000. I can do anything and everything with this ****, but i learn something new everyday... for anyone to clown on me when im tryin to work this piece can f*ck off, cuz i dont need YOUR help. I hate to repeat myself:

"i dont really look for glitches, or experience many either. performance: 9.8 out of ten."

"it could be an advantage..." i didnt quite know what it was doin, thats all. So thanks to the peeps that dont attack experienced others when they ask questions. i apreciate when people can help out. i do the same. also yall need to chill with talkin about people that talk about glitches. If they annoy you, which they do me, then ignore those posts... just stop bitchin about bitchin.

The poll was a joke, whats your favorite number 1-10.

By the way, the "loop-to-from-all" is a hot feature. I never new it existed because i used to sample into my computer, and then load samples in. Now i just have a record player straigh in (through a pre) Thanks for pointin out that sh*t out, except bachyherb...

I totally agree. I have figured it out:
Its ok to bitc*, but NOT okay to bitc* about bitchin.
BUT IT IS okay to bitc* about bitchin about bitchin.
AND it is NOT okay to bitc* about bitchin about bitchin about bitchin - if someone feels like bitchin about this bitchin!

only glitch i get it the random sample drop out which sometimes sounds cool to me,,,but it would be better without it....i thing it has something to do with sample length and polyphony.....but i can never duplicate it

it would be nice to keep some f ups that happen in the studio or on equipment. I remember reading about the roland x series that somehow records your actions when you arent recording... you can find what you just "mistakingly" did.
