I've had an MPC1000 for 10+ years... I keep thinking I need a new sampler... or that I want to downgrade to something simpler like a 90s sampler (trying a 500 right now but not comparing to 1000)
I love the workflow on the 1000 - the effects are kinda garbage but whatever - the screen is perfect its so easy for me to get things done on it - but theres been problems with it on and off for the last few years as far as the pads wearing out, tact switches breaking, knobs and buttons breaking etc.
im finally getting to the point where i have to learn how to solder so i can fix it up and get it back to 100% theres really not another sampler i want - the 2500 looks cool but isnt necessary for what im doing
my question is - do you recommend soldering to fix buttons or getting a MPC 1000 Right Side PCB Board w/ Volume and Jog - UPGRADE from mpcstuff.com
also if I decide to do everything myself - do you guys have any recommendations for places to go for the same things that mpcstuff sells but for a better price?
