CONVERT MPC 2000 to MPC 1000

hi out there.

need to transform my liveset from old-but-beautiful MPC2000 into ugly-but-small-and-lots-of-ram MPC 1000...

...is there any helper?
...MPC-software?

except snd-to-wav???

yeah, if you got a PC go download MPC1000.exe. If you have a mac go download MPC187. You will need to transfer the SND files into WAV but the program editor will easily let you lay the program out and make all the mono/pitch/vel/etc. settings you need on there. Then just save it into a folder and BAM! you got a program ready to load up. BAM!

but it (mpc1000.exe) doesn´t understand the mpc2000 program-files.
does it convert mpc2k-prg-files into mpc1k-prg-files somehow?

this would be great - otherwise i have to rebuild them all in mpc1k, right?

convert the snd files to wav and try again.

This might work, since:
1) MPC1000 imports MPC2000XL pgm files if the audio files are WAV.
2) MPC2000 pgm file is just like MPC2000XL pgm file.

I wish someone else would take over this thinking job.

With this program, can i pull kits from my friends' 2XL too the 1000?

this is a big plus for 1000 users in terms of giving us access to the tons of stuff already available for the 2XL?

No software needed. Just save the PGM's and the sound files as WAV on the XL and the MPC1000 should import it.

shit....where is the nearest MPC 2K-XL?
i know about 4 MPCs...and they are all no-XL!!!

I posted your answer already. You either blantently disregarded my suggestion or you blatently did not read the thread. Either way, I took time out of my busy schedule to help. This would be the last I respond to your posts.

He may have been asking for a way to just convert it all without going back and forth between the 2000 and 1000. Something like my situation that lead me to to this thread.

I used to own a 2000 and now have a 1000, but i would love to transfer an unfinished song from said 2000 to my 1000, and since I dont have the 2000 anymore, I really have no way of converting the .snd files to wav... its kinda like the whole "extracting .wavs from reason refills" type of thing... it almost seems impossible. I may just have to load the chops from my scsi drive to my computer and start from scratch. I tried loading the midi files once before but it didnt load on my 1000 properly. Idk. I'll figure something out.
