Blank screen upon loading / hard drive

Hello,

I'm afraid something is wrong with my MPC. I tried to install a hard drive from MPCStuff. I formatted the drive, but it showed that there was still no available space. I may have hastily taken the hard drive out before switching off the device. I don't remember. I put the hard drive back in and turned the device on, but now when the hard drive is in, I get a big black screen - no loading at all. When I took the hard drive out, JJOS loaded just fine. I thought it could be a bad hard drive connection, so I got a new ribbon cable and new hard drive connector. I put installed both and I still get the black screen. Does any one have a guess about what could be going on? Any help would be much appreciated.

Ooof... do you have a computer you can put the drive in to see if it works at all?

It'd be hard to tell if it is the drive, the HDM-10 adaptor, or something in the MPC that is the issue without trying to swap some stuff around to root cause the issue.
