mpc 1000 midi in 2 issue

Hi! I m using an MPC 1000 jjos 4.99. A friend of mine let me a nord for some days to play and test and i think that i have a midi issue on the mpc.

When i connect the midi out of the nord to midi in 1 everything works fine, then when i tried midi in 2 nothing is working (same cable, same synth). No midi notes received.

Is it possible to be my midi input damaged or i m doing something wrong?

Is your MIDI/Drum track on 1B-16B?

tbh I connected the pc to check it via ableton and it worked. Then i connected the nord lead back again and started working on both midi in 1&2. I dont know whats going on. i didn't change a single thing.

But it was very weird for an input not to respond before that i ve checked every possible midi channel (1a to 16b) and i was getting nothing on the mpc, no midi notes recorded.

i have no clue but now is working
