Hey there,
It's time for me to replace the encoder for the jog wheel on my 1000. I have the old style PCB, so it's a plastic encoder that's in there now and is not functioning properly.
Here's the metal encoder that I order from Mouser (EC12E24204A2): https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/688-EC12E24204A2
From what I understand, this is not a drop-in replacement. The pins of the new encoder need to be jumped to the right spots on the PCB. There are a couple thread on the forum that talk about this, but all of them have expired images. I've also reached out to mpcstuff for their input, but haven't heard back. From what I've seen, there aren't any images/videos on how to do this mod anywhere. That being said - does anyone have photo or video documentation of this mod?
Thanks for any and all input,
LB97
