I recently started using Serato Sample in my DAW (Studio One) and have the MPC 1000 setup as a midi controller. Not real sure how to explain this in musical terms and/or MPC lingo, but when using chopped samples recorded from vinyl/outside audio into the MPC and playing in One Shot mode, the sounds play until the end of the sample even after I've released my finger from the pad. When I try to play samples from Serato using the MPC as a midi controller they play like Note On mode (only plays when my finger is on the pad and stops as soon as I let off). I'd like for the samples from Serato to respond like in One Shot mode. Does anybody know if this is possible? Is there a setting in Serato that I need to adjust? I've searched for Serato tutorials but haven't found any that address this issue (I also searched the forum and checked the manual and couldn't find anything). I recorded two vids, one playing a sample from Serato with the MPC as the midi controller, and another from an old beat with a chopped up sample I recorded from a record. Here there are for reference. Appreciate any feedback or suggestions:
