Hi,
I hope you’re all doing well.
I’m new to the forum and to the mpc world.
I recently purchased mpc1000 from eBay and I’m loving it.
I however have a question. I’m a drummer and I will be using the mpc as a “background percussion” player when I’m drumming. Mainly to keep tempo. In order to achieve that with the rest of the band, I have connected my mpc to an external keyboard (Kori Pa4x). The setup is that the keyboard will send the clock signature through midi to the mpc in order to keep my sequences as the same tempo as the keyboard.
My main issue is that when playing the keyboard’a keys, they are triggering the sounds that are assigned to the pads (depending on what midi signal is sent). I am wondering if there is a way (in the mpc) to deactivate this? I just would like to have it synced with the tempo (as a slave connection).

Thank you in advance for all the help!
