F buttons still not working after replacing pcb

So recently I replaced the pcb for the F buttons since F6 and F1 both weren’t working. After replacing both buttons still do not work, only once in a while. This is my first MPC so I have no idea what the problem could be so any help would be appreciated.

the issue of unresponsive buttons is two sided: the tact switches (in that case the new pcb of course has new tact switches on board) and the plastic buttons themselves, they both break up with time and wear. in this case you also have to change te plastic butttons themselves. mpcstuff has them.

I have pressed the buttons without the plastic and with new plastic buttons and 0 response.

Next suspect is ribbon cable.

Or area of wherever the new pcb connects to the larger motherboard pcb. Could be a damaged trace.

I am not looking at the schematics.
