it should work if you go to mode--> pad 1 and then if the drum sequence(the whole thing) is in say pad 2.. you press pad two at the SLIDER window.. and then underneath that you should see somehting like "tune" you can use the data wheel to change that to whatver you want.. now you click main press the pad with the drum sequence and use the slider... in most cases it should be Q1 but you can also do the same procedure with Q2

but yeah i think the drum loop should be in ONE pad for the Q slider to work

it sounds like you're working in the wrong track to me

i didnt explain myself v clearly b4 i dont think, there is an effect on the pad or track i set it too but its not variable thats what i meant by on/off. like when i set it to tune it will make the note of the pad much lower but if move the slider it just stays as low hhmmm goin for another play

The sampler in the MPC is very dumbed down. There is no "real-time" change of effects...the state of all parameters (attack, decay, filter cutoff, etc) are set when the sample starts playing. Any changes to these settings, with qslider, etc, will only make changes when the sample is re-triggered.

seems to be a loose connection cause when i push down a lil bit on the sliders they work. was gonna take it back but ive started to gell with the beast now an dont want a different 1. i reckon i can fix the pretty easy on my own

very much doubt that the s5000/s6000 are limited in this way

i guess its better to get outboard filter unit anyway....

altho i was kinda disappointed by this and several other features not available on the 1k they don't diminish its core stock value as sequencer and drum machine, at least not too much
