Just gotta ask this question but in the step editor you can input a pitch bend is this to do with midi or does this bend the pitch of samples?

no 'pitch bend' but u can increase the pitch or lower it to a specific triggered moment. that is when the sample is triggered u can have a specific one pitched and the others not.

sorry mate are you saying therse is no pitch bend on the mpc 1000?, cause i got a mpc 1k and there is a pitch bend, goto step editor insert and you can change from note to pitch bend but when i try doing this nothing happens whats this all about

yea, there is pitch bend data you can program under the event list editor. Its under either 'pitch bend' or some other CC. sorry, thats as helpful as i can be.

this pitch bend is midi, i.e. for midi instruments, not samples in 1000. you can find a sampler that sends pithch bend information to 1000 and record it though.thre midi of course.
