MPC 1000/turntable/asr-10/mixer??

Ok,
I've got an mpc 1000 and a Numark TTX turntable hooked up together using a peavey battle axe mixer.

I want to be able to chop and edit samples with the asr and sequence with the mpc. I know that I need midi to do this, but what's the best way to hook the audio inputs/outputs from each of these items into the mixer, so that i'll be able to hear what i'm doing...

The problem i'm having is that the turntable only has rca outputs...i don't know if i need another mixer or not, because the "battle-axe" only has rca inputs/outputs as well. If I use rca-1/4 cables, i'll only be able to output the left or right channel from turntable to mixer, to asr.
If I need another mixer, what's a cheap one that'll get the job done. I hope this question is clear. any help would be greatly appreciated...

I would definately suggest a mixer it will make your life easier. Especially in future if you ever get more gear. I use a Yamaha mg16 4 16 channel. Which works really well for myself. it has phantom power for condenser mics, and plenty of inputs. Yamaha makes others like mine , but w/ fewer inputs. I only paid $280 for mine. here are some links

check these out. i know some else in here can give some insight to some other good mixers. I have never had any problems w/ mine at all. I just though I would throw that in there

You need a mixer, a dj mixer is not good enough when you starting adding more inputs

I'm runnin' the same mixer (MG16/4). When you buy a mixer, don't sweat onboard effects. They are never as good as soft plugins, make the mixer cost more, and can add noise to your signals. For the price of a 12 channel mixer w/ effects, you can damm near copp a 16 channel "dry" mixer.

Also, the mic-prees in these types of mixers are geared more for live gigging. If you are planning to record vocals, get a good, standalone mic-pre.
