Workaround - Sampling in mono

Just a quick tip - as far as I know, the 1000 only allows you to sample in stereo or take the left or right channel of a stereo input. However, if your turntable is connected to the 1000 via a DJ mixer (as mine is), it is possible to sample the whole sound in mono;

- Plug the white phono cable from your TT into the left channel of mixer input 1
- Plug the red phono cable from your TT into the left channel of mixer input 2
- Put the crossfader in the middle and turn your channel faders up
- On the 1000, when sampling, select mode "MONO L." Now you get the combined signal.

wouldnt that just give you the left channel in mono, not combined l + r in mono?

Yeah Ive done this a couple of times. And also if you put your left RCA in the left channel on channel one and the right RCA in Channel two. you can use your cross fade with the curve set to rounded and you can creat your own pan switch. I use to use this like 4 years ago when i didnt have a mixer with a pan function. hahaha. Good Old days....

You can also just get a Y mono Spliter that converts stereo to mono for like 3 dollars at Radio Shack.

you can, but chances are they'll cancel eachother out.

What>? What do you mean they cancle eachother out... Thats how i transferstereo samples into mono samples...
