Oxygen 8 with mpc

I got it going through the mpc and it triggers off of the program I have loaded

but if i bought a midi to usb cable would I be able to record music directly to my pc?

where to buy the cord for cheap as possible?

I've used both together before and they work fine and the best way to get the cheap cords is on ebay or used computer and surplus store somthing like that.

If your doing what i think you're doing, you don't need a midi to usb cord. i use the mpc and reason all the time and i also have the oxygen 8. just leave the oxygen connected to your pc and do the changes in the audio interface in reason but you still have to have the midi cables going in/out of your mpc to your sound card in order for reason to recognize it. do a search on here, several people spoke on this.

so i now know I need a better sound card or modual
