Both Q-link sliders assigned to one pad and pressing "AFTER"

Hi, I've got a question about something I have no clue what it means: assign both q-link sliders to the same pad, then press both AFTER-keys: the Pad Bank A and D keys light up. If you press Pad Bank B or C (still holding the AFTER-keys), both both of them light up. Does anyone of you know why this happens and what it means?

yeah i think its just the way its wired up. pretty damn complicated if you think about how many buttons and functions is such small proximity. Just a small side effect i guess
