there is this one problem I've encountered recently.

I have my mpc1000 synced up with my Roland Fantom S (MPC is master, fantom is slave i believe).

Everything is working all good, however, with the DRUM tracks (not the MIDI tracks), after a feel pad presses, the samples that are assigned to the pads play forever (until i tap stop 3 times quickly). Is this a midi syncing issue? Has anyone else encountered something like this? (it does not occur when using the fantom or the MPC separately).

if you want the sample to stop when you press the stop button (once) then you have to program that sample as "note on" instead of "one shot" then when hitting the pad in rec mode you have to hold the pad for as long a the seq is.

It seems if you press stop twice it cuts off the sound but I could be mistaken

You'll just have to try it, it seems to work.

that's if you have the samples played with "one shot"

actually you have top press stop 4 times to stop a stuck sample - which is a bit OTT I reckon, but at least it works

this stuck sample happens to me all the time with 1k - when using the pads live or an external midi controller. I never had a problem with the 2k or 4k

yea..

i'm aware of the note on/one shot function.

This problem NEVER happens when i'm using the MPC by itself...
its only when I'm using my Fantom synced with the mpc1000 that this problem shows up

Make sure you don't have a midi feedback loop happening.
