not sure what that's on about but rest assured the 1k does indeed have velocity sensitive pads including adjustable sensitivity and various response curves

an mpc without velocity sensitive pads, that be f'ed up!

"Velocity sensitive attack and decay params are gone (as far as I can see) "

It means you can't link the attack and decay parameters to how hard you hit the pads.

thanks both!
but i don´t understand what you mean with "link" dubnov.

Hitting the pads harder can be used in the obvious way: to make the sound louder. But on most synths, there are also many other variables that note velocity can be programmed to control. So, hitting the pad harder can change the decay time, change a filter setting, etc etc. The MPC1K has some of these options, but doesn't have the option for 'linking' pad velocity to attack time.

Note that the obvious hit harder --> louder setting I mentioned could be referred to as 'linking pad velocity to amplitude envelope level' or something like that. (not attack.)

Did that clear it up at all?

...and I would say since you probably didn't know or think about this before hand, I wouldn't worry about the MPC not having it, now, knowwhadimean :)
