i'm tryin to use reason w/ my mpc1k. I have everything hooked correct, buuuuuuuuuut. I already have a drum programed in the mpc, and now I want to record some issh inside of reason. I want to use trk 3 for to trigger my midi. But everytime I hit play the pads that ahve the drum program start to play the sounds that assign to those pads. I made sure that in trk 3 the program is set off, and its set to midi not drum. IAll I want to do is play meloday out while the drum is playin, w/ out the already programed pads triggering sounds. Can be done? and if so how. A little help would greatly be appreciated.

Let me try this again w/ a clear mind today. i already have a drum pattern programmed on the mpc1k. But the minute i hit play on the mpc, whatever the mpc is connected to via midi it starts to trigger those sounds with the pads that I use to program to drum beat on. This is what i have tried. I'll use a new track, change it from drum to midi, and turn the program off, and turn midi on, on the bottom right hand corner. what I'm trin to do is play the drum that i have already made, and like you said Penfold use Reason as a sound module. Which it is being done except fpr the fact of it already triggering sounds the moment i hit play. i hope explain this good enough. if not let me know
