Hi there

I've just made 2 programs using Bluebox on my PC. I transferred the programs and relevant samples to the MPCs flash card. But when I go to load them up the MPC crashes, basically totally stops loading/responding mid way through.

Its doesn't seem to be due to a specific sample being corrupt because the MPC crashes regardless of which order i load the programs in. I deleted the sample it stopped on, and it simply crashed on a different sample the next time :(

Why is it doing this?

Is there a maximum number of samples the MPC can have loaded up? or is the memory based purely on ram?

Does the MPC only accept a certain format of wav sample, eg 16bit stereo?

I've used Bluebox before and its all been fine. I've also got the lastest MPC1000 operating system

Can anyone suggest reasons why this might happen?

I'm totally stressed out, i've got a Uni deadline on monday which involves me playing a live set on my MPC. Failure is imminent :(

Yes the MPC only accepts a certain type of wav. 16bit mono or stereo. Open up one you know works in a sound editing program, check its details, I beleive its got to be 44100 16 bit.

Then stick all the samples that arent working through a batch converter like on itunes and they should work.

However my MPCs never "crashed" just said "wrong file"

good luck
