mpc 1000 crashing!

had my mpc 1000 for bout a year now. every now and then when i am in trim mode and i use the extract feature ie for chopping the dam thing completely crashes. it comes up with a error message saying cpu error and the akai completely crahes! any one else had this problem?

Try to reset your mpc:
Hold the erase-key while switching it on.

Or contact customer support and let them bring you a new mpc...

I didn't know this, but it worked for me.
I had a "system error", reinstalled os 1.07 but I couldn't get rid of a sort of digital buzz. After resetting with the erase-key the buzz is gone.
