Timing all off with 1k and oxygen 8

Finally got my MPC set up with my Oxygen 8 and Reason 3.0!

However, when I record a midi sequence from Reason into the 1k using the keys on the oxygen, rather than the pads on the 1k, and play it back the timimg is off to f**k.

Do any of you good people in here know of a reason ( no pun intended) and a possible solution for this?

p.s. does the 1k quantize the incoming external midi data?

Check that Timing Correct is off on your MPC. It is in the manual where TC is and how to change it. Also, what kind of sound card and latency do you have?

if the oxygen8 is hooked up through the computer you might be having latency issues associated with your soundcard.

Got 58 ms of output latency although thats what shows in the audio tab of the preferences in Reason. Ive got an E-MU DSP404 soundcard but I'm using the M-Audio midisport 2x2 to hook up the oxygen and mpc to reason.
