Sometimes, when I'm turning the DATA WHEEL, If I'm turning it clockwise it might turn counter-clockwise than turn clockwise, and vice-versa.

It's like the DATA WHEEL gets confused...

Anybody ever have this problem :?:

Never. The only time that happens is if I let go and it flicks back to the next indent a little.

I think this type of wheel is notorious for becoming dodgy... mines still ok but I'm wary of it.

Has anybody with this problem ever tried to open their MPC and fix it? Do you think I should try to open it and see what's up?

It is not uncommon to replace data wheels on any MPC. I replace them all the time.

It's certainly not hard for me.
