MPC1000 recording issue

Hey everybody

Today I was messing around with the mpc and i found something strange while recording a drum session. I was first recording the kick and the snare, then pressed the stop button.

THen I pressed record again and played the hihats over the kick and snare, but when i wanted to play the whole thing back i just heard the hats, but no more kick and snare...

Is it me or is there a problem?

Next time, press the OVERDUB button instead of the RECORD button if you wish to keep the hi-hats in the same track as the kick and snare.

of course i have the obverdub button pressed

that's why i'm asking...

Sometimes the midi notes get mixed up, go to the program, and go to notes and reset. Record again, happens to me all the time

Make sure that the mute for that track (whichever one you aren't hearing) isn't on, if the mute is on, it won't be audible.

THen I pressed record again

Thats why distorted tekno suggested the overdub button...
