Used mpc1000

Hi all,

After reading some topics here im finally decided to get the mpc1k! I didn't know about the fast working extract future, otherwise i'd bought it a month ago! Why doesnt akai just say 'hey the zone option is gone but look at what we have now'....oh well. Im convinced anyway .

I found a cheap used one that is in good condition acording to the seller, but when im getting it im gonna check it out anyway just to be sure before i hand over the $$$. I've read the manual and know how a few main things work, but im afraid im gonna forget something important that might be damaged or anything.

On what things should i pay extra attention?

* Loose knobs
* Responding of the pads
* Flickering Display/LCD
* OS version? (1.07 is the latest, but that can be downloaden i believe)

Please help me expand my list thank you.

you also want to check the card reader. see if all the pins are standing up straight. since you're buying it used you don't have a warranty and it could cost a grip to get fixed or replaced. (Actually, even if you did have a warranty, akai/numark does not cover bent/broken pins on the card reader.
